CULINARY OPTIONS

In the village of Cuneaz, just five minutes from the lodge, is the well-known restaurant L’Aroula (aroula.cuneaz@gmail.com and www.aroula.it, telephone numbers: Jean +39 3493611242, Michela +39 3470188095).

Both the set menu and the à la carte menu are very reasonably priced. The restaurant is very popular, so reservations are strongly recommended, both for lunch and for dinner. It is possible to discuss the menu with the chef. When you arrive on a Saturday, if you have made dinner reservations for the first evening, the restaurant proprietor can pick you up at the top of the aerial tramway at 5:00 PM and transport you and your luggage to Cuneaz. You can then make arrangements with the proprietor for how late you wish to dine. This is just one transport option, in addition to those listed in other sections.

At the time of creation of this website, a catering service had not yet been organized. However, this may occur in the future. If you wish to bring a personal cook with you, there is an extra bedroom in the guest house.

There are a number of very good restaurants in the neighbouring villages and in Champoluc. Reservations are recommended. In the evening, Champoluc can be reached by aerial tramway, the entrance to which is just fifteen minutes’ walk downhill. Starting at 5:00 PM, a number of cabins travel downhill and back once every hour until 11:00 PM, except at 9:00 PM. Some of the most popular restaurants are Il Balivo, La Grange, and Le Petit Coque (links). Reservations are required for the mountain restaurants, and in most cases it is possible to arrange for the restaurant to pick you up at a particular time and place, bring you to the restaurant by snowmobile, and bring you back again.
